Hey guys. Thanks for the ol' tip of the hat.

We actually put this together in just a few hours Wednesday evening, after all that news came out about Peru and the meteor.

We're working on some new stuff though... stuff that isn't just improvised, so hopefully you'll see some better writing soon. We're definitely working on it.

Anyway, thanks again. And we'll see you at BarCamp.

Hey Denna,

I was trying to showcase one video - if you notice, some people get multiple write-ups on the site. Chris Knoy, Lo Fi is Sci Fi, and Mark Baratelli are examples of repeat vloggings...

Don't worry! You'll get some more screen space!

Thanks for featuring my video. I enjoyed the kind remarks you made about my Citizens of Hollywood vids on YouTube. I will be going back to Walt Disney World and hopefully capture more moments with Francis Floot and friends for your viewing pleasure. YouTube is the best website there is, and I'm glad I discovered it.

[...] I know about MicheLee Puppets, Tracey Conner, the Extreme Health Challenge, and MC Rico B. Kuhl because of my good friend Becky Lane. I believe MicheLee is the first non-profit organization we have featured here on Orlando Video, but I may be wrong (see Assembly). According to their PDF-only fact sheet from the site, they provide presentations on divorce, bullying, child abuse, healthy lifestyles (hence the drinking water), literacy and sexual assault prevention. I Drinky Water is one of five commercials used to reinforce the messages from the wacky hit production of EXTREME Health Challenge, a show that empowers kids to eat right and get moving. Sit back, enjoy the video, and pass the link on to your friends to share. [...]

[...] I’ve just finished writing a post over on Orlando Video about Dewey Chaffee. You might recognize the name, but if not, just know that he is associated with a certain grumpy old man who has emerged as one of the early adopters of this whole YouTube/MySpace/promote your show/promote early/promote often… thing. If you have a Fringe show, look at what Linwood and Dewey are putting together. [...]

The film was actually just accepted into the SXSW Film Festival (along with the Heathen's video). You can check it out here -

www.iamminot.com/lonelylights.htm

Hope you enjoy and thanks for plugging Fantacine - pretty soon, we're going to relaunch our site with full length shorts and lots of other goodies.

Have a great day.

[...] This is the second appearance for Fantacine here on Orlando Video. This collective has produced some quality work, and Texas, Georgia and Florida have seen fit to honor them for their work, according to their web site. The director of this film is a one Benjamin M Piety, who also directed the Heathens’ music video I mentioned earlier. [...]

Aw shucks. Many thanks from Feedbag's resident patsy. Butch and I are working on getting a screening together at Dandelion Cafe, and he's submitting it to the Film Slam at Enzian. Here's hoping.

[...] We featured Feedbag Films once before for their Current TV video. I found this clip on their MySpace blog. The Feedbag guys have been working on a documentary about the poetry open mic at Will’s Pub called SPEAKEASY. These are obviously just some deleted scenes, but still worth checking out. If you forget about the crappy audio because of the crappy MySpace video hosting, this is a good bit of filmmaking. If the deleted scenes look this good, the doc must be at least this nice.
[...] Chris Knoy is all of the above, and also an animator by tell of his MySpace profile. You may recognize Chris’ handiwork from another video here on OV: the Assembly:Overspray show coverage we posted a few weeks ago. These are exactly the types of videos I would like to see more of on this site: local artists covering local events. If you’re not out there making your own, do it anyway. You’ve all got cell phones and still cameras that take video, and you must have the internet if you’re reading this. Get up, Orlando! [...]
